Because MNA is an association, each year current members in good standing have the opportunity to select our Board of Trustees leaders.

Voting can be done either by mail or email, and all ballots must be received by March 15, 2026 at 5 p.m. or by email. Member ballots have been mailed, and will arrive by early next week.

To vote electronically, please email secretary@michigannature.org. Individual members may cast one vote and family memberships may cast two. In your email, include your votes, name, and address. If you are unsure if you are an MNA member, please email michigannature@michigannature.org, and we will verify your membership status.

We have one trustee up for re-election this year, Secretary/Treasurer, Margaret Welsch, who has been nominated to be elected to four-year terms ending in 2030.

Margaret Welsch

Margaret Welsch currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer and is a past President of MNA's Board of Trustees. Margaret is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Medical Technology. Before her retirement, she was chief project coordinator for several large National Institute of Health (NIH) research grants for the study of Breast Cancer using Sprague-Dawley rats and Athymic mouse models; these grants were awarded to the Department of Toxicology and Pharmacology at Michigan State University.
