MNA is proud to announce that we will be accepting entries for our 11th Annual Photo Contest beginning on Tuesday, June 15th, in honor of National Nature Photography Day. Since 2011, professional and hobbyist photographers have been invited to submit their best images of nature from all around the state of Michigan. Over the years, we have seen several hundred entries received from dozens of photographers and nature enthusiasts that highlight the beauty of our incredible state. These photos help us tell the story of why protecting Michigan's natural heritage is so critical.
This year's categories for entry are:
- Flora & Fauna
- People in Nature
Photos may have been taken anywhere within the state of Michigan and should highlight natural beauty in some way. MNA encourages photos taken at its sanctuaries to be submitted for consideration and will take into account the subject matter, composition, and location of each photo during judging. The top three photos from each category, as well as one overall winner, will be featured in Michigan Nature Magazine, and on the MNA website. Winners will receive a complimentary 1-year membership to the Michigan Nature Association, and a framed print of their winning photo.
All photos must be:
- taken in the state of Michigan
- in one of the three categories
- submitted with a filled-out entry form
- submitted as a jpg or png file (photo quality of 300 dpi is highly preferred)
- received no later than September 1, 2021.
To enter this year's MNA Photo Contest, download and complete the 2021 Photo Contest Entry Form, then upload images using our Google Drive Form (you will need to make one submission of up to 6 photos at a time - this may require multiple submissions).
Mail the completed form along with your photos on a disc or flash drive to: Michigan Nature Association, Attn: Photo Contest, 2310 Science Parkway, Okemos, MI 48864
Winners will be notified by November 1, 2021. Questions about the Photo Contest can be directed to Lauren Ross at firstname.lastname@example.org or 866-223-2231.
We look forward to seeing all of the Michigan natural features you all enjoy, from your perspective!
