Show your support for protecting Michigan’s rare, threatened and endangered species -- and experience Pure Michigan at its finest!
The Michigan Nature Association is hosting the Race for Michigan Nature the week of May 15-22, 2021. This year's Race for Michigan Nature is a statewide Virtual 5K spotlighting several of Michigan's rarest species and helping promote the importance of protecting Michigan’s remaining natural areas. The run has been endorsed by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports and qualifies for the Pure Michigan Challenge!
Participants learn about Michigan's endangered species, receive race t-shirts, medals, and complimentary memberships to the Michigan Nature Association. Not a runner? No problem! Walkers are welcome, too! Invite the whole family! Kids can walk/run their own short course as well.
The health and safety of you and your family are of the greatest importance to us. In order to continue to promote habitat conservation while complying with Federal, State, and Local guidelines to help stop the spread of COVID-19, the Race for Michigan Nature will be held virtually in 2021. Simply sign up, then complete your run/walk at the time and place of your choosing. Remember to share photos from your run on social media using #RaceMInature #michigannature.
