Trillium Ravine
14.92 Acres in Berrien County

Located on the west side of Riverside Road, off Walton Road, in Niles Township you can find yourself in a ravine that grows two rare trilliums. This sanctuary has sloping sides that carry spring run-off and heavy rains to the St. Joseph River and is covered by a variety of hardwoods and spring wildflowers, including prairie trillium and toadshade trillium. Enjoy the quiet splendor of this beech-sugar maple forest and its springtime bounty of wildflowers. The steep banks of the ravine are covered with a variety of hardwood trees and add a unique dimension to the sanctuary.
