55 acres in Lenewee County Located south of Hudson, just a few miles north of the Ohio-Michigan Border, Powell Memorial follows Bean Creek for 3/4 of mile. The sanctuary consists primarily of upland forest and the floodplain around the creek. The combination of floodplain and upland created a perfect place for a wide variety of trees to grow. In fact, over half of Michigan's native trees can be found in the sanctuary. |
