45 acres in Huron County
Kernan Memorial forms the western coast of Whiskey Harbor. Not only is this area rich with history of Canadian Rum smuggling and shipwrecks. It's a great place to see migratory birds in early March and November including rare ducks, gulls and maybe even a jaeger or two. Bobcats have even been sighted by the local conservation officer.
The land was purchased as a result of a bequest from William Kernan of Bloomfield Hills. |
