38 Acres in Hillsdale County Located not far from Powell Memorial off Jerome Road, north of M-34, Hobert is a quiet place consisting of wet woods and upland woods. Many species of wildflowers bloom here every spring, including the wood poppy. Usually found in western Michigan the wood poppy has bright yellow flowers and a yellow juice. The sanctuary is named in honor of Clarence Hobert by his grandaughter Janet Stevens who donated part of the property. |
